4 Profitable Coronavirus Promotions For Bars & Restaurants - Part 3

During these tough times, we want to spend the least amount of money as possible, right. Anytime we spend money on ads, there’s always some type of risk.

With this next promotion, there’s literally zero risk because use free Facebook posts and send 1-2 emails which has been brining in an average of about $1,000 in sales each week for us. Another great thing is this isn’t a discount promotion, although it could be if you choose to do it that way.

My Favorite Bar & Restaurant Promotion

The promotion is what I call a pre-sell promotion, where you get people to pay at least 24 hours before the event you’re running. I’ve done this for dine in dinners, comedy nights, and multiple other events with much success.

The way I’m doing this during the coronavirus is every Thursday night we’ve been doing a pre-sell family style dinner that’s hot and ready to go for the customer!

We’ve done a Thanksgiving style dinner for $65 on easter, lasagna dinner for $50, and Burrito dinners for $40.

At first the way I was selling these dinner was by taking people to a PayPal link to buy. Here you can see a list of orders for the Thanksgiving orders.

Then to make things a little easier I set up a Shopify page so I could add pictures and times of when they wanted to pick up the food

What I love about this is by noon the day of, we know exactly what we need to make and how much. It's simple and planned out. We know who ordered and what time they'd be here to pick it up. This also makes the pick up and transaction process very easy.

How We Market & Sell

The way we pre-sell these is mainly from our e-mail list and then my wife and I will post to our personal FB pages to get more exposure, but I’d say 80-85 percent of the orders from from our e-mail list.

If you want download the basic structure of how I pitch these type of offers and get 15-20 orders from just one e-mail, click button at the top or bottom of this post.

Now why do these sell so well? Because the truth is most people don’t like to cook. They don’t want to prep. Yes, even when they are laid off. Today people want convenience. They want simple, easy solutions.

Instead of having the family pick from the menu and order 4-6 different things, there’s one decision to make.

After Coronavirus Plans

Once things get back to normal and we can do dine in, I plan on doing this once a week. Why? Because there’s demand, it’s easy to sell through e-mail as it’s a limited time offer, and we get top dollar for it and make a good profit because we only sell 25-35 family dinners at a time.

With that said, if you want to boost sales without having to discount, follow this strategy. Download the e-mails and Facebook posts I used to sell these and get started next week!

In video 4 I’ll cover the coronavirus promotion that brought my client $9436.00 in sales by spending just $294.00 on advertising.

Then to make things a little easier I set up a Shopify page so I could add pictures and times of when they wanted to pick up the food
