Hello and welcome to another episode of bar owner TV, today I want to talk about the bar restaurant owners road to success. The vision you must have in order to be successful in this business.
I’m willing to bet you sometimes think, If only I could add another $5,000 in sales per week to my business, I would be so much happier. If I could just raise my sales by another $1,000 each week, this would give me another $52,000 in sales, and get me one step closer to where I really want to be and be able to take more time off.
This is exactly what you need to be thinking about but the problem that I see from so many owners and operators is they think about it, but don’t take action to make it work.
When you think like this, you’re setting yourself a goal. That’s step one. Now you need to think of the different strategies that will take you to that goal. How are you going to execute and reach these numbers?
To reach your goal, you must further break down into how these strategies are going to increase your check average, your customer count, and the amount of business you really need. How many new customers do you need walking in your doors?
Once you have an overall idea of all this, it’s time to create your marketing and promotional plans to get new customers in the door, to get existing customers to return more often, or better yet, both.
My advice is focus on one night at a time. Create a weekly promotion that is fun and exciting, but also includes some great specials. What I see all the time is bar owners lowering their prices on food and drinks and that’s it. I’m sure you see the same thing. Well if everyone is doing the same thing, what makes your promotion better then your competition? Cheaper drinks? Is lowering your prices over and over going to get you to where you want to be financially?
Anyone can go to a bar or restaurant and have a few drinks and eat. But what can you do differently then everyone else that provides something fun or entertaining for your guests?
So the first step here is define a goal that is realistic to reach. Then write down the plan on how you are going to reach this goal. What day of the week are you going to try to increase. Who is your target market and how are you going to get the word out to them in the most cost effective way. YES, this is going to cost a little money out of your pocket to reach new customers. It costs money to make money in this business, but if you have a strategic plan mapped out of how to reach your numbers and if you are using the marketing strategies I provide to you, it’s simple to reach your goals.
Procrastination gets the best of all of us and that’s why I’ve always had mentors for the last 4 years. If you feel you need someone to help guide you to reach your goals, to map out the process, to give you new ideas on promotions that will make you stand out from your competition, you should really consider my coaching and consulting package for this month.
Right now you can get 3 30 minute phone consultations for only $500. If you read the success stories on Bar Owner.TV you will see my clients have increased their sales by several thousand dollars. One of them nearly $60,000 from a promotion that only costs $350.
