I have to say that I have personally learned this lesson myself. I’ve hired people in the past just to hire them because I needed to cover hours. I knew they weren’t fit for the job but I did it anyways because I felt desperate. I wanted to believe it would take care of my staffing problems at the time.
Then what happened? I fired them for my own stupidity. I paid money out of my own pocket for not being patient enough.
I’ve also made the mistake several times of not teaching new staff exactly how I want things done. I didn’t teach them everything they needed to do the job right. I didn’t have SYSTEM for teaching them properly.

When I was working with my marketing coach, I brought up my frustrations one day. Not that he knew anything about the bar business or staffing, but I was fed up!
He told me to go read the book “The E-Myth” by Michael Gerber. This book changed my life and I totally recommend it. This entire book is about SYSTEMS within your business and how to use them to make more money, get more done, and take more time off.
