Nick Fosberg here with another episode of Bar Restaurant Success. Football season is right around the corner and that means that guys are already dreaming about Fantasy Football. They are also thinking about “Where’s our draft party going to be at!”
Right now is the perfect time to pop up in their minds with a great offer before your competition does! So if you want to be able to book 10-20 Fantasy football parties, you’ve got to put an offer together that they can’t refuse. Always remember that the better your offer, better the response. However, you just need to be creative with your offer to make sure you make a profit!
There are a few ways to really drive in fantasy parties. One way would be to hold a contest for a chance to win the ultimate fantasy football party that includes pizza and wings and maybe a few drinks. Then, you could take all the sign-ups and designate a staff member to reach out to everyone who didn’t win and try to sell them a fantasy football package.
Keep in mind, a lot of bars do Fantasy Football Parties and every Fantasy nut knows this. So keep in mind what’s going on in their head, “What’s in it for me? Why should I choose to have my draft party here over Nick’s bar across the street?” As long as you have a more valuable offer than the competition, structured and strategized in a way to make you a good profit, you’ll make a killing and win over the Fantasy nuts.
The easiest way to book these with zero cost coming out of your pocket would be from using your e-mail list and if you don’t have one or if you’re not using your e-mail list weekly, I can tell you you’re losing out on probably $50,000 or more in extra sales per year.
Every year, I book on average 8 fantasy parties from the very first e-mail I send out and it’s been the same e-mail for that last 3 years. We see about an average of 10 guys, sometimes other friends meet up with them after the draft, but they will spend about $25 on average. So this one e-mail will usually generate around $2,000 in sales from the 8 parties.
But here’s where I do things a little different. I don’t send out some fancy looking e-mail template with a football field and wings on it saying book your fantasy party here. I send out an e-mail written in a very personal tone, no images, just text, that makes them a great offer and creates URGENCY. This urgency is what gets them calling instantly and dropping off deposits because they don’t want to miss out on this very limited time offer.
That’s how you should be doing all your e-mail marketing. Get personal and send it out just as a regular e-mail. It feels and looks more personal which is critical in marketing today.
If you’d like to get this e-mail along with the flyers and a video that shows you how I use the Facebook power editor to target Fantasy Football players with my offer, click the banner below and become a member today.
